The life cycle of an apple
I noticed the similarity between the way most living things age: wrinkling, losing their colour and fullness, sustaining marks, blemishes and bruises and I wanted to express that through ‘The life cycle of an apple’.
Cake sculptures
The cakes are painted in watercolour and made in soft sculpture. They are supposed to look inviting and attractive. They are the ‘upsides’ of temptation. Under the plates, there are mats, which figure all the ‘downsides’ – the calories, the sugar, fat – the guilt!
